It's spring and it's time to go big with bright colors! Lil' Miss Sunshine is ready to party! I think helium balloons decorated with fringe or tassels are the perfect bridal shower decoration, especially when paired with an Original Panty Piñata. Use the bride's color palette for the tassels, or maybe even customize the Original Panty Piñata with colorful flowers and ribbons to match!
Oh, Pinterest. How simple you make everything look. This little helium balloon project, which was inspired by a photo posted by theallisonshow.com, has been weeks in the making. If you do decide to do use helium balloons with tassels or fringe as bridal shower decorations, start early. It took me a lot more time to make the fringe than I anticipated. It's just plastic tablecloths cut into 1 inch strips, so I was surprised by how slow-going it was. Also, 36" balloons aren't easy to come by. You might need to order them online. Then, it turns out those little helium tanks you can purchase from mega-stores don't contain enough helium to fill a 36" balloon. Even filled to maximum capacity, it doesn't take much in the way of fringes and tassels to weigh down a 36" balloon. I learned all of this the hard way!
We were seriously teetering on the edge of a Pinterest-fail, but I'm so happy this little project has finally come into being! I love the results! The original inspiration is posted below.
